Jeffrey F. Clark of Chester, passed away suddenly at the Shoreline Medical Center in Essex on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 19, after being stricken at his home.  He was the beloved husband of Holly Gauthier- Clark.

Jeff was born in Boston the son of the late Leo C. and Elizabeth Mary (Butterfield) Clark.  He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Vietnam working in military intelligence.

Jeff was a self-employed art dealer and owned and operated J. F. Clark Fine Art in Essex specializing in 19th Century through Early 20th Century American paintings and prints.  He was a long time resident of Essex and had recently moved to his new home in Chester.  He was an avid sailor.  Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Christina Clark of Old Lyme, and his brother Jason and his wife Barbara Clark of Wallace, Calif.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 23 at Saint John Episcopal Church, Main Street, Essex.  Burial with full military honors will follow at the Fountain Hill Cemetery, in Deep River.
