Gordon "Bub" Dunn 46, of Westbrook, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 17, 2009.  He was the father of Kristy (Dunn) Mahoney and grandfather of Alanna Paige Mahoney. 

Mr. Dunn was born in Hartford, son of Gordon W. Dunn (Centerbrook) and Charles and Susan Hall (W. Melbourne, Fla).

He was a graduate of Old Saybrook High School and the CT School of Broadcasting.

He enjoyed watching sports, being with his family and friends, and playing golf.  Gordon was the owner of All Star Fencing and an avid sports fan.  On most Sundays in the fall, he could be found watching his favorite football team, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, or on any spring or summer day catching the Yankees game with his close friends or family.  When his daughter, nephews, and niece were little, on most weekends, he would coach one of their seasonal sports teams whenever he had the chance.

Gordon was loved and respected by all his family, friends, and everyone else he came in contact with.  He's been known to be the light of the party and will truly be missed by all.

Besides his daughter, Kristy (Dunn) Mahoney and her husband, Ryan, of Stuart, Fla. Mr. Dunn is survived by two siblings, Brenda (Dunn) Sieffert, and her husband, Richard, and Shannon Dunn; one granddaughter; four nephews; a niece; and countless other family members and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, Nov. 23, at the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme, at Ferry Road, Old Lyme.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
