Patricia Mary Rubega 10/14/09

Patricia Mary Rubega, 83, formerly of Woodland Drive East, Groton, passed away on Wednesday evening, Oct. 14, 2009, at Fairview in Groton.
She was born in Bridgeport, on July 23, 1926, the daughter of William and Mary (Connor) Casey.
Pat married Robert A. Rubega on April 20, 1954 in New London.
She was a 1944 graduate of Robert E. Fitch Sr. High School and she was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Groton.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Alfred (Mary) of Washington, N.H., Robert (Patty) of Norwich, and Patrick (Susan) of East Hampton; four daughters, Madeline Martin (Robert) of Groton, Margaret Rubega (Chris) of Storrs, Anne Male of Old Lyme, and Sheila Siborg (Richard) of East Lyme; a brother, David Casey of Windsor; three sisters, Maureen Borkowski of California, Rosemary Casey of Groton, and Sister Sheila Casey of West Hartford; and a son-in-law, Jack Myers of Alaska.  She is also survived by 18 grandchildren.
Pat was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Myers; two brothers, Robert Casey and the Rev. William Casey; and a sister, Ann Griffith.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, Oct.19, at Sacred Heart Church, Sacred Heart Dr., Groton. Interment was in St. Mary Cemetery.
