Marie Rose Delmonico 08/25/09

Marie Rose Delmonico, 93, of 12 Daggett Street in Moosup, beloved wife of the late Arthur Delmonico passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 25, at The William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich.
She was born on Oct. 5, 1915, in Moosup, a daughter of the late Louis and Amanda (Theroux) Morency and had been a lifelong resident of the community.  She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit, but her upmost devotion was to her family and her faith.  She was a daily communicant of All Hallows Church and was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne.  She was united in marriage to Arthur Delmonico on May 1, 1943, in All Hallows Church.  He passed away on April 20, 1987.
Mrs. Delmonico was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by three sons, Paul A. Delmonico and his wife, Mary of Central Village, Marc Delmonico of Stamford and John Delmonico of Central Village; two daughters, Jane Delmonico of Moosup and Elaine Lattizori and her husband, David, of Groton Long Point; a son in law, William G. Richeimer, MD of Old Lyme; her grandchildren, Brian Delmonico, Kristen Squillicote, Barry, Stephen and Sarah Delmonico, David, Jeffrey and Julie Bernier, and David and Alyssa Lattizori; two great-grandchildren, Jake Bernier and Andrew Squillicote; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Jean Anne Richeimer, and five sisters, Lelia Lemire, Sr. Therese Morency, DHS, Sr. Agnes Morency, DHS, Sr. Cecile Morency, DHS and Emma Blanchette.
The funeral will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29 from the Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home, 595 Norwich Road, Plainfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Hallows Church in Moosup.  Burial will follow in All Hollows Cemetery.  Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28.
