Our multi-talented book reviewer Jen took off for the theater last week and caught a play with the traditional ingredients of power and passion, but this time interspersed with deep tragedy and incredible sexiness. Of course it's about Marilyn Monroe and Jen tells us why she loved this one-woman show. "Marilyn Forever Blonde" is at the Ivoryton Playhouse through June 21.

Well, not content with reading more books in a week than most of us read in a month, our Jen took a trip to the theater last night and ... Wow! Our normally book-bound Jen went out and about this week ... to the theater, but not Broadway, nor Boston, not New Haven nor New London. No, she went to Essex, or to be exact, Ivoryton, where she not only witnessed a wonderful performance of "Godspell" at the Playhouse there, but also fell in love again with local theater.
